Nikas had reportedly long been suffering from cancer and had been hospitalized at the time of his passing.

Nikas started his career in adult in 1991 and has almost 200 credits on his IAFD page in gay and bi productions, for top studios such as Vivid, Bi Line, All Worlds, Stallion, Caballero, Odyssey Men, Studio 2000 and Leisure Time. He performed steadily through 2006, with a few other titles coming out in 2008 and 2011.
