Suspect Charged in Death of Owner

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police arrested a 28-year-old man on May 15 and charged him with the murder of William Futral, owner of gay paysite

The news was announced last week by Tampa PD, and was first flagged by a gay adult gossip site.

The accused was identified by police as Richard Lam, and sources familiar with have confirmed to XBIZ that he performed as talent for the site.

Lam is also charged with stealing Futral’s car.

As XBIZ reported, earlier this month Tampa PD informed that Futral’s body was found May 1 at the Beck Apartments in Tampa by a maintenance worker. The autopsy revealed he died as a result of upper body trauma.

Tampa PD called the killing “a targeted attack” and before Lam’s arrest was investigating it as a homicide.

According to the arrest statement, surveillance footage collected during the investigation “showed Lam near the residence at the time of the murder. Fingerprints found at the scene were identified as belonging to Lam. The investigation also proved that Lam and the victim were known to each other.”

On May 2, the victim’s vehicle was located in West Palm Beach County, allowing the Tampa Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Unit (FAU) to determine Lam’s location.

FAU officers, working with the US Marshals Office, arrested Lam last Monday and charged him with Murder and Grand Theft Motor Vehicle.

Lam is currently being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Dade County. – Movies & Stars
