Nominations, Trailer Released for 5th Annual Pornhub Awards

LOS ANGELES — Pornhub released today a star-studded trailer for its fifth annual Pornhub Awards, taking place April 20.

The show will celebrate “the biggest and best” in each of Pornhub’s unconventional categories, as well as the top channels and most popular networks.

The Pornhub Awards are data-driven and winners are determined using algorithms based on video views, porn star searches and more. This year’s awards boast 50 categories, the most ever in the awards’ five-year history, and include a number of new categories that celebrate diversity and inclusivity.

This year’s nominees for data and fan-voting awards have been announced on the official awards website.

Celebrated fashion designer Luis De Javier — known for his work with Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Julia Fox, Cardi B, Rihanna — will be the exclusive designer of this year’s Pornhub Awards. 

Recognizing the efforts of adult industry performers, Pornhub will be rewarding all winners with cash prizes, as well as supporting Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) Behind Bars with a donation marking the partnership’s renewal.

Fans are encouraged to cast their votes in the fan-voting categories on the official awards website, which is now open until April 10. The winners will be announced here on April 20 at 8 a.m. (PDT).

Los Angeles Event Will Celebrate Nominees

An exclusive, in-person celebration will be held for all models nominated in Los Angeles the evening of April 20. Creative duo The Ion Pack will DJ the event and compose the musical score for the winners’ videos. The evening is being produced by Barlow & Sons. Announcement his year’s headliner is forthcoming.

Known for his futuristic, bold, and sexually-charged designs, Luis De Javier will be dressing Pornhub ambassadors Asa Akira, Kira Noir, Natassia Dreams and Pornhub Aria in custom pieces inspired by the Pornhub brand. De Javier will also be opening his archive to dress five selected nominee muses including Cherie DeVille, Kayley Gunner, Kazumi, Luna Star and Scarlit Scandal.

„I’m thrilled to take part in this ritual of sexual liberation and glamour, dressing beautiful creatures from an industry which I am proudly part of and take inspiration from” said De Javier. “Continuing to draw upon the queer movement disregarding general gender conformities  — more than having made a line for women as a gender, per se, the pieces for the awards reference female empowerment as a concept, offering strength through style to a community who has been long under-supported.”

Asa Akira said, “I’m honored and excited to have the incomparable Luis De Javier create a custom design for me to wear during the adult industry’s biggest night. Not only is Luis’ work innovative, sexy, and boundary-pushing, but he intentionally incorporates sex workers into his fashion work and runway shows. His inclusivity and recognition of our industry is to be applauded.”

Sex worker charity SWOP Behind Bars was selected by Pornhub based on the strength of their mission and to help support and build their Community Support Line and Resource Database initiative.

„SWOP Behind Bars is delighted to partner with Pornhub in expanding our Sex Worker Community Support Line (SWCSL) and Resource Directory” said Blair Hopkins executive director of SWOP Behind Bars, a national social justice network dedicated to the fundamental human rights of sex workers, victims of trafficking, and their communities with a focus on those currently incarcerated or seeking re-entry.
