BERLIN — WOW Tech’s Ellen ten Brink passed away in March, the company has reported. She was 59.
It is with deep sadness we share the untimely passing of beloved partner, friend and colleague Ellen ten Brink, on March 23, 2022, at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer. We miss her deeply and keep her joyful, energetic, and humorous spirit with us.
Ellen joined Standard Innovation (creator of We-Vibe) in 2013 as a Sales Merchandising Manager for EMEA. In the first two years she was the only person in the territory and made We-Vibe a well-known brand across Europe and to South Africa. She quickly became a much-appreciated part of a small team for her professionalism and positive attitude towards customers and colleagues alike.
After two years she hired Seron Brouwer and together they took care of the whole territory; visiting customers, providing product training, contacting bloggers, coordinating public relations, organizing trade shows, and even building booths together. Back then there was no warehouse in Europe, so their attics and garages were always full of stock.
Ellen became part of the Wow Tech family in 2018, when We-Vibe and Womanizer merged. She played an integral role in mentoring, educating, and training her sales colleagues in her role as Team Lead for the EMEA Adult offline team. Until her final diagnosis in August 2021, she was an essential and valued part of the WOW Tech family.
Ellen loved her job and was passionate about the products, enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. We are incredibly grateful for her contribution to the company over all these years and for the help and support she provided to new colleagues in the business.
Our thoughts are with her partner Marc and her family. Ellen’s joie de vivre and vivacious smile are missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.
In memory of Ellen, consider a donation to AAP, an organization she supported herself. Ellen loved going on beautiful, far away trips with Marc, where nature and animals were central. One of her last trips was to Costa Rica, where she visited a sanctuary that protected her favorite animals, monkeys, and their natural habitat.
